Do we sometimes try to be too spiritual? In this episode, we explore the difference between being truly set apart and just being “weird for the sake of being weird.” Instead of causing division in the body of Christ, what if we focused on unity—finding common ground instead of emphasizing differences? We also discuss the power of discernment, knowing when to share our opinions (and when to keep them to ourselves), and how Jesus led with wisdom, not constant correction. Let’s strive to be conductors of relationship, not captains of division. And hey, it’s Wednesday—go grab some wings!

Last night by the fire, I realized relationships are like flames—too close, you risk getting burned; too far, you’re left cold. We often hesitate, fearing flaws will be seen, but we need each other. Don’t live lukewarm or distant. Get close to the fire—it’s worth the warmth.

God’s voice is everywhere—in trees, fields, and all creation. Romans says creation reveals His undeniable attributes, leaving us without excuse. The same voice that spoke the world into existence still echoes in everything around us.We often overcomplicate it, but hearing God is simple: quiet yourself, open your heart, and listen. Creation is calling us to awaken as sons and daughters of God. Let go of fear and step into the fullness of who you are. Creation is waiting for you.

I just left the rodeo, thinking about bull riders. They climb onto massive bulls, knowing they’ll be thrown off, aiming to stay on for just eight seconds. Even when hurt, they get back up and ride again because it’s worth it. It reminded me of surfers in San Diego—fighting to catch a wave, standing for a moment, and wiping out, only to try again.Life is similar. We avoid risks to dodge pain, but maybe the struggles make the ride meaningful. I’ve faced hard moments, prayed for strength, and heard God say, “Stay. This is your moment to grow.” Those challenges shaped me.You can’t have resurrection without death or joy without risk. Whatever “bull” you’re facing, don’t let fear stop you. Get back on. It’s worth it.

When it comes to walking in the spirit, I often find myself thinking that many of us expect it to mean knowing everything all at once—having full knowledge of how everything will unfold. But honestly, if I can’t even manage to talk into my phone while using AirPods to record this, how would I handle having all the foreknowledge about God’s plan for my life? Let’s be real—if I had all that knowledge, I’d probably mess it up, like I almost did with my tea.The truth is, if I knew everything, it wouldn’t be faith. It would just be knowing. And what’s the point of that? Faith isn’t about having all the answers or knowing how everything will turn out. Sometimes, you just walk into situations without knowing why or what will happen next—and that’s okay. Moving to Phoenix was a huge challenge for me, especially leaving behind the people I love. People kept asking me, “Why are you moving?” But honestly, I don’t need to know exactly why. I don’t need to understand all the details. I just need to know that God is with me, and that’s the real foundation of discernment. Everything else is extra. We often try to make discernment about knowing good from evil or right from wrong, but that’s not what we were meant to do. From the start, we were meant to simply know God—not to gain knowledge of everything else. If we truly understood this, prophetic discernment would come easier, and we wouldn’t waste time trying to figure out everyone’s motives. We’d just want to know Him, and that would be enough.I don’t need to know all the answers. I don’t want revelation for revelation’s sake. What I want is to know God. And sometimes, that means going through hardships, because to know Him in His resurrection, we first have to know Him in His death. You can’t have resurrection power without experiencing suffering. It’s not easy, and it’s scary at times, but I believe that suffering is part of the process. If I had all the mysteries of the kingdom of God, I’d probably mess it up, like when I threw my tea bag away without using it. Life would be overwhelming if we knew everything ahead of time. Sometimes it’s better to have a smaller picture of things. Faith is about walking day by day, moment by moment, without needing the full picture.Jesus himself didn’t always know where He was going. He was led by the Spirit and trusted the process, following wherever the wind took Him. It’s the same for us—we don’t always know where we’re going, but we can trust that God is with us. It’s okay to not have it all figured out. Life is full of mystery, and that’s what makes it meaningful. So, let’s embrace that mystery, and let go of the need for certainty. It’s okay not to have the full picture. We just need a little faith.
